After his initial stint with the marine business of the family, Adel Mattar moved to the air conditioning division in the mid-80s. This paved way for his transformation from a businessman to an industrialist. He single-handedly pioneered the establishment of the state of the art manufacturing facilities and the company in its present form. Besides being the deputy chairman and managing director of the company, Mr. Adel is a key member of AWALCO which manages various entities owned by the family. He is also the managing director of Nidukki Trading Co WLL a company specialized in industrial waste management. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of commerce and Industry. He is also a former member of TAMKEEN and holds directorship in various other entities besides being the past Chairman of EDAMAH.
